Monkey Milestones:
- Monkey is currently 2.5 pounds and close to 15 inches long.
- She’s getting chubbier by the day and her wrinkled skin is smoothing out to make way for delicious baby fat rolls that I plan on nomming.
- She has eyelashes. EYELASHES!
- Also, eyebrows. I hope she gets her Daddy’s eyebrows and not her Mommy’s unibrow.
- Her hair is getting longer and I tell her pretty much daily that it better be red!
- She must be going through another one of her growth spurts b/c she’s been super quiet this week which freaks her Mommy out. No worries though, she’s been kicking up a storm this morning.
Mommy Milestones:
- 3rd Trimester begins this week! What? You mean I only have 12 more weeks (maybe less?) until she’s here? This is all at once exciting and terrifying.
- The 3rd trimester is rearing it’s ugly head with some pretty nasty symptoms. All throughout my pregnancy I’ve marveled at how it’s been a relatively easy pregnancy compared to the horror stories people like to tell me. Well, maybe it’s psychological but yesterday began kind of dreadfully. I woke up at 3am b/c my right arm was so dead asleep it hurt. No matter if I lay on my right side or my left, my right arm always goes to sleep. I guess the waking up for good for the day at 3am just prepares me for when my little Monkey is here!
- Yesterday I also experienced some pretty severe swelling in my legs. I’ve always been swollen in my ankles but my calves swelled up so much my skin started to hurt. Plus side is that I now have the smoothest legs ever since my skin was so tight when I shaved. Negative side is that I am now the proud owner of compression hose. Holla.
- I’m not sure if you’ve heard but I do not have the Gestational Diabetes! My level was 106 and from what I’ve read they prefer a level below 140. I’d say I passed with flying colors!
- I’m also not anemic (go prenatals!) and I don’t have syphilis (not that I was worried).
*kisses*

can’t believe its already the 3rd trimester….time is FLYING!
Wow, congrats on the third trimester. It’s so exciting
Owen didn’t have any eyelashes when he was born they grew in that first month…just had to share! Glad you don’t have the GDs! (that sounds funny).
