Want to see something that got peed on?
You know what that means…I’m knocked up!
I took those two tests the morning of March 1 and immediately started freaking out.
I went in to woke up Dan and told him and his eloquent response to finding out he was going to be a father?
“No shit? Come back to bed…”
I wasn’t able to get in to see my doctor until March 30. It was a nerve wracking 30 days, that’s for sure!
Since I couldn’t calm my nerves, I decided to buy some more tests to take each week until my ultrasound appointment. Each one was positive!
Yeah, but that still didn’t really stop me from being a nervous wreck the day of the u/s!
Never fear!
I’m growing a strong and healthy Monkey in my belly. 🙂 As of now, (s)he is due on November 3rd. But you know our Batman loving selves are secretly hoping for a Halloween baby!
Fun story: I actually was close to having two monkeys in my belly. The doctor found a second gestational sac but that one was empty. She referred to this as a “vanishing twin.” You can make out the second gestational sac in this picture:
I had another appointment today to hear the heartbeat. Such a surreal experience!
I woke up way too early this morning to watch the Royal Wedding b/c I feel a special attachment to it. My mother was pregnant with her first child (my sister) when Charles and Diana. I had hoped that I would also be pregnant during the next future king’s wedding and I got my wish!
So what better day to announce to the internets that I’ve got a bun in my oven?!
Much, MUCH more to come. But I’m just so happy to finally be able to share my news with everyone!
*kisses*
